I have been working in the industry for 36 years and proudly own Hairwaves salon for the past 27 years. I provide all aspects of hairdressing and I specialize in colour since being awarded a Redken Certified Haircolourist in 2014.

I love to develop and grow my team by making sure that they receive the best training possible and strongly believe that because of how we all strive to provide fantastic customer service this enabled us to win 2 Englands Business Awards, Best South East Hairdressers and Best Essex Hairdressers for 2021.

In my spare time I enjoy keeping fit by going to the gym. I also love going to the cinema and spending time with my family.

My passion for hair started at 15 when working as a Saturday girl here at Hairwaves.
Since then I have achieved both Levels 2 and 3 City & Guilds as well as the Levels 2 & 3 Service Pitman Qualifications.

Personal career highlights include 3rd place in National Men’s Spring Challenge 2003 held at Birmingham NEC. As well as currently being part of the team that was nominated and subsequently won both 2021 “Best Essex Hairdressers” and “Best South East Hairdressers”

With 23 years experience I’m still as passionate about all aspects of hair and styling. I enjoy attending courses/ seminars in order to further develop my skills and keep up with the latest trends and techniques.

Away from work I like to maintain my fitness and well being with a mixture of gym, pilates and running. I’m also a keen traveler who loves to explore and socialize with friends.

Hi, my name is Dawn and I bring 40 years of hairdressing experience to the team. When I’m not in the salon I enjoy tennis and gardening as well as spending time with my family.

Whilst a specialist in perming I enjoy all aspects of hairdressing from simple cuts to colouring to a wide range of styles.

Most important is for the client to have an enjoyable, comfortable and relaxing experience.  That’s what makes my job so rewarding !

A bit about me, when not in the salon you will normally find me chilling with the girls for a gossip and a laugh or working hard in the gym keeping fit.

Hi, I’m Carol. I’ve held a number of roles over the last 25 years in places including a financial institution, a museum, and an online craft business. I also spent the best part of a decade living in the Middle East when my husband’s job took us to Dubai. I joined the Hairwaves team in November 22 after being a client of the salon myself for many years. When I’m not at the salon you will find me slowly renovating my 1920s home alongside my husband and daughter. I look forward to welcoming you to Hairwaves!
